WHAT IS REIKI?!

Reiki is a form of holistic therapy that involves the manipulation of energies believed to be present in the body. It originated in Japan and is based on the principles of the transfer of energy from the practitioner to the patient. Its effectiveness has been acknowledged by a growing number of people, including medical professionals, and is widely used as a complementary therapy in conjunction with conventional medical treatments.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Body and Mind have natural healing abilities that most are unaware of. When we are in a state of chronic or acute pain, our body’s nervous system is constantly in overdrive. This can be both physically and mentally exhausting, causing symptoms to worsen.

During a session, you’re placed in your most comfortable position. The practitioner places their hands directly or above your body for energy clearing. This will allow your body to enter a state of relaxation, ultimately calming your nervous system down. The belief is that this will then allow your nervous system to function properly. Organs work as they should. Increased blood flow and circulation alleviated muscle tension that someone might not even realize is tense, decreased anxiety, and decreased pain. This allows for a reset in the body inside out, leaving the mind and body rejuvenated.
